The food system in the Netherlands is characterized by many different types of players, financial frameworks and a changing policy and regulatory framework. Everyone has the very best intentions, but ultimately runs up against the limits of their own capabilities and influence.
Why choose the harvest of tomorrow leadership program?
Transition-in -Action
A leadership program for youth and transition-in-action. The leadership program is for anyone who is or wants to be active in the agriculture and food system. You will develop the ability to initiate change in your organization, network or sector.
Intake interview and intervision
A personal intake interview and 2 intervision and reflection sessions about your context and leadership challenges. You will also learn how to better deal with challenges, frustrations and disillusions that the complex transition of the agricultural and food system sometimes evokes.
Knowledge and skills
Working within the agriculture and food system itself, then, requires new knowledge and skills, different ways of working together, and a living network that continues and builds relationships and projects.
Find your role in the transition
You will learn to look at the food transition from different angles You will walk away with a better picture of your role in the transition, a concrete 1st version of a prototype AND the tools & network to implement your plans.
Who is the program for?
Whether you are a farmer, work in the food industry, are involved in policy or finance, protecting nature, or are otherwise engaged in the food and agriculture transition, you can participate.
The program surprised me several times and gave me a push to step out of my comfort zone. Sometimes a bit uncomfortable at first, but you learn a lot from it and it is totally worth it. I notice that I have learned through this program, for example, to slow down every now and then, to reflect well, in order to be able to bang again. In my eyes this is a very valuable skill in your work life (for example during meetings), but also in your private life. AND you get to know a very nice and sociable group of people!

I think it's good for LTO Noord to be connected to networks like the Harvest of The Day After Tomorrow. By being aware of what is going on, we can support our members and participants in their entrepreneurship and advocacy. We may be youngsters of the organization, but active in realizing the world of the day after tomorrow.
Gemma Verijdt
One of the most instructive moments I found was building a new agricultural and food system. With sand, clay and other related attributes, we literally designed a new sector. Only then did I discover how stuck I am in the current system.
Albert Boersen
I saw a role for myself to represent agriculture in the program. The settings that are created make it possible to look very honestly at the current, and critically at the future systems. Because of the great diversity of backgrounds, many mindsets are also represented. Going to a real long-term makes for more integral thinking, which I really appreciate.

I believe it would be good for everyone to take part in this track one day! Good to look more open minded at the agricultural sector.
